European Commission sets out proposals for global pact on climate change at Copenhagen

The European Commission communicate its proposals for a comprhensive and ambitious new global agreement to tackel climate change and how it could be financed. The new pact is due to be concluded at the Copenhagen Un climate conferance in December.

Among these proposals, Commission will propose that emission from international aviation and maritime transport should be included in the international climate change framework.
